The Blue Base, Liverpool, to Host Free Sector Forum on 1st October.
Merseyside is set to welcome the North West Resources Forum to The Blue Base in Liverpool on Wednesday 2nd July – a free-to-attend networking and knowledge-sharing event for professionals acr

oss the waste and recycling sector.
Following a successful launch event in April at the Renew Hub in Manchester, which welcomed over 100 attendees, the Forum is already proving to be a must-attend for organisations across the region. With a packed agenda and a strong focus on collaboration, it’s quickly becoming a key fixture for those working in or around resource management in the North West.
Run by Genee Consulting Ltd – an environmental consultancy with deep roots in both the North East and North West – the Forum is modelled on the long-standing North East Recycling Forum (NERF), which has been connecting professionals and showcasing innovation for over 35 years.
Designed to support local authority waste officers, private businesses, public sector waste managers, and third sector organisations, the event offers something for everyone. Attendees can expect expert speakers, industry updates, and insights into upcoming regulatory changes, but the real draw is the excellent networking opportunities. The Forum provides a rare chance for professionals from across the sector to connect face-to-face and forge meaningful collaborations that support progress and innovation.
“This is a pivotal moment for the waste and recycling sector, and we want to provide a space where professionals can stay up to date and work together to drive positive change,” said Jo Holmes, Managing Director for Genee Consulting and NWRF Chair. “The North West Resources Forum is an inclusive, informative, and engaging event – and we’re thrilled to bring it to Merseyside.”
The organisers are particularly keen to encourage more Merseyside-based businesses and organisations to get involved. Hosting the event in Liverpool is a fantastic opportunity for local companies and councils to engage with their peers and play an active role in shaping the future of waste and recycling in the region.
The event is free to attend and open to all with an interest in waste and recycling. Places can be booked via Eventbrite.
